SAFC announces new Head of Operations and Head of Finance

The SAFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bloyce as the agency’s new Head of Operations, and Robyn Jones as Head of Finance.
Michael Bloyce is a highly experienced senior manager who has worked in both the public and non-profit sectors. He comes to the newly created role of SAFC Head of Operations from Country Arts SA where he was responsible for governance, infrastructure developments, finance, HR, IT, risk management, sustainability initiatives and facilities management.
Robyn Jones will take on the role of Head of Finance role, after having served 12 months as the SAFC’s Chief Operating Officer.
Robyn has been a part of the SAFC team since July 2021, when she first joined as Finance Manager. She has extensive screen industry experience, having previously served as Finance and Governance Manager at the Adelaide Film Festival and as Accountant and Office Manager for Mercury CX, and deep experience in finance, having worked as an auditor for KPMG and having taught finance at Adelaide University for many years.
The Head of Operations role replaces the former Chief Operating Officer role in leading day-to-day operational business activities of the SAFC, which will see Michael strategically leading and managing all aspects pertaining to internal operations. The Head of Finance role is a re-calibration of the existing Finance Manager role, incorporating financial management duties formerly assigned to the COO, which will see Robyn leading and managing all aspects of the SAFC’s financial processes. Both roles will be part of the SAFC Executive Leadership team.
SAFC CEO Kate Croser congratulated both Michael and Robyn on their appointments.

Michael Boyce will commence as SAFC Head of Operations on 29 May, 2023.
Robyn Jones will commence as SAFC Head of Finance on 5 June, 2023.
